Assistant Minister

Purpose Statement: The Assistant Minister will serve as a vital member of the pastoral staff, providing spiritual leadership and support to the congregation. This role will involve preaching, teaching, counseling, and overseeing various ministries, with a particular emphasis on youth ministry and the Christian education ministry for all members.


Essential Functions:

  • Youth Ministry: Oversee and develop a thriving youth ministry program, recruiting and training volunteer leaders, developing and leading Bible studies, leading retreats and camps, and other activities.
  • Preach and teach the Word of God when needed.
  • Assist in leading corporate worship.
  • Provide pastoral care to the congregation, including visitation, and prayer.
  • Oversee the church's Christian education ministry, including teaching classes.
  • Provide pastoral counseling and support to individuals and families.
  • Administrative tasks relevant to the ministries that are led by him.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to pastoral interns.
  • Equip and empower members to minister to one another.


Full Time

• Must be a man who is a member in good standing of a NAPARC associated denomination. • Must have a Master of Divinity degree from an orthodox seminary. • 2-5 years of experience in pastoral ministry is desired but not required. • Must be a gifted preacher and teacher and willing to grow in his gifts • Must be a compassionate and caring pastor. • Must be an experienced biblical counselor and/or willing to pursue improvement and growth in biblical counseling gifts. • Must be a competent peacemaker/mediator. • Must have strong administrative gifts. • Must be a strong leader, team player and wise delegator and enthusiastic student willing to receive consistent mentoring from the Senior Pastor and Ruling Elders when appropriate.
