Pastoral Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the corporate worship of the church to ensure that it remains God-focused, scriptural, and edifying.
2. Demonstrates strong theological preaching and teaching gifts with sound scriptural application.
3. Promote and articulate the vision God has given to the church. This is done through preaching, teaching, and written articles, as well as through regular interactions with committees and members of the congregation.
4. Moderate meetings of the Session and congregation, provide orientation and training of new elders, and ensure the Nominating Committee has proper biblical guidance in their selection of elders and deacons.
5. Help individuals discover their spiritual gifts and then inspire and motivate them to dedicate and use those gifts for God’s glory.
6. Pray frequently and fervently for our congregation to seek to do the will of God.
7. Supervise, guide, support, and mentor the ministry staff. Lead the weekly staff meeting and prayer time; provide encouragement and accountability. Provide directions to each ministry and clarify goals. Communicate staffing needs and/or concerns to session.
8. Provide members of the church with the opportunities and the tools needed to pursue the work of God through his Church. Must have the abilities to communicate the vision and delegate well.
9. Officiate weddings, administers sacraments of baptism and communion, performs funerals. In conjunction with ruling elders provides pastoral care to congregation and community by visiting the sick, bereaved, homebound, and nursing homes. Provide counseling for those needing premarital, marital, and grief.
10. Anticipate problems and seek to solve them proactively. Display a positive attitude promoting conflict resolution quickly, humbly, and with unity in mind.
11. Work within the church budget. Practice good stewardship with God’s money.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package worth up to $75,000 that includes:
Salary up to $48,000 based on pastoral experience plus Benefits that include the manse, medical insurance, and retirement.
We are seeking a pastor who has been ordained or is qualified to be received or ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). Such a candidate should exhibit the character traits of a teaching elder (I Timothy 3:1-7) Ordination in the EPC requires an M.Div. from an accredited Seminary.
