Senior Pastor
NHCCW Senior Pastor’s Job Description:
- Lead the church in modeling uprightness and graciousness while endeavoring to pursue the unity of the body (Eph. 4:1-16)
- Faithfully shepherd all the church congregations (1 Pet. 5:1-4)
- Oversee the pastoral team
- Supervise church administration and mentor lay leaders
- Facilitate development of church’s vision and direct missions
- Provide active pastoral guidance in all church ministries and missions
Qualifications for NHCCW Senior Pastor Candidates: Having a sure divine call to shepherding God’s flock (1 Pet. 5:1-4) Living up to the standards for upright character and testimony for faith, as described in 1 Tim. 3:1-13 Having demonstrated ability in leading pastoral team and lay leaders’ team Having the gifts of effective preaching and teaching Ascribing to NHCCW’s theological position and church bylaws Must have earned a seminary degree of Master of Divinity or higher from an accredited seminary Having ten years or more of pastoral experience in Chinese church setting in North America Having experience and ability to serve in a multicultural environment Fluency in Mandarin and English
