Our lead pastor will be expected to...
1) train disciples and guide the church with the elders.
2) preach and teach the whole counsel of God.
3) provide counseling and conduct weddings, funerals, baptism of new believers, home visitation and other church activities.
The best candidate for us would... 1) be a male, born-again believer, not divorced, who meets the qualifications for eldership described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 2) be a continuing student of God’s Word with a vibrant spiritual and family life. 3) be passionate about preaching the Word of God with an emphasis on the Gospel message. 4) be a skilled leader with an aptitude for corporate preaching as well as personal discipleship. 5) be in agreement with the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches’ Articles of Faith and Practice and the SEBC Statement of Faith. 6) be excited to get involved in the local communities and help our church evangelize the lost and meet needs. 7) have seminary training with a degree in a Bible related field (preferred). 8) have a youthful spirit and would like the opportunity for a long tenure (preferred).
